Cupid's Chase 6k, the 14th annual run/walk event, will be held this year on Saturday, February 7 in Georgetown. The race course is made for nature-lovers since the route follows the hike and bike trail through San Gabriel Park and hugs the banks of the San Gabriel River. The 6K run/walk is sponsored by Georgetown Parks and Recreation.

October 24, 2007 - Bark Park Opens in Georgetown!

The City of Georgetown is excited to announce the opening of its first public off-leash dog park. Bark Park is located at 151 Holly Street, which is adjacent to theMcMaster Complex. The dog park is situated on approximately 6 acres featuring separate areas for small dogs (under 30 pounds) and large dogs.

Hosted by Triple Crown Dog Academy and the Austin Humane Society (AHS), this exciting all-day event gives dog owners and pet lovers the opportunity to gather for a day of family fun, a little bit of learning along the way, and a chance to help out a worthy organization: proceeds from the day benefit the Austin Humane Society. Be among the 2500+ who attend this great event! We start off with a 'fun run' on the adventure trail, and wind up the day with Yappy Hour featuring The Eggmen!
